daily I have people who:

interrupt cooking schedules
ignore the people who would like to purchase products from us
put me in a state of anxiety
push their products on me which I have no use for
beg for money
beg for free products
ask for donations
tell me their problems
beg for a job they can’t or won’t do
expect discounts
eat samples
AND expect my “full attention”

as
I try to:

make
cook
prep
deliver
label
stock
inventory
and answer complaints.
Did I tell you I run a full time business in a Recession?!

I enjoy spending time with so many different people and I truly LOVE when someone comes in.

But as a person who has a hard time being “blunt” …some days wear me out.

No Soliciting Signs (Wikipedia)

No Soliciting signs are intended to protect business from panhandlers or individuals attempting to sell products or services to that business’ patrons on business property, thus taking potential revenue away from that business.

These signs are very often ignored.

­­­My favorite UNLOST creature is the Whooping Crane.

The whooping crane migrate and do not get lost, but habitat destruction virtually wiped out the entire species. At one point, fewer than 20 birds remained in the wild . The entire eastern population of whooping cranes vanished.

There is a certain peace I have when I am there…maybe a glipse of light off the water.
The errie sounds of the loons on the lake.
The warm childhood memories of fishing with my grandparents.
